To promote its non-alcoholic beverage, Heineken 0.0, Heineken created a public beer fridge specifically so that drivers can indulge in the taste of beer without any of the alcohol. The Driver's Fridge stunt from Publicis Singapore was designed to keep drinking and driving as separate as ever, and reinforce that the designated driver no longer has to be limited to water during a social occasion. The Driver's Fridge by Heineken was styled just like a car door, right down to the fact that it could only be automatically opened when a set of car keys was detected.
To launch Heineken 0.0 in Singapore, Heineken needed a disruptive stunt to get people thinking about alcohol-free beer in a situation they normally distance themselves from beer.
