Animal Accommodation Ads

Airbnb's Print Travel Ads Introduce Animals to New Homes

These print travel ads from Airbnb use quirky animal characters to emphasize that it helps people to find a home anywhere. The ads illustrate this concept by taking animals out of their natural environments and transplanting them somewhere entirely unexpected. For instance, a small pig can be seen sitting comfortably in a fishbowl, while an octopus looks equally as happy sitting in a mouse hole.

Rather than complicating the message of the campaign with additional text, the logo and corporate slogan ("Belong Anywhere") are the only other additions that enhance the meaning of the images in these playful print travel ads.

As many brands are now attempting to integrate high-tech marketing solutions that will appeal to young consumers, large e-commerce companies are revisiting some of the more low-tech and traditional forms of advertising, including print marketing.
