Prime Shrimp Crafts a Shrimp Burger for DTC and Food Service

Prime Shrimp has unveiled its newest product: Prime Shrimp Burgers. Featuring 80% shrimp content and no added sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP), these pre-portioned, cook-from-frozen patties bring convenience and flavor to both retail and food service markets. Made with responsibly farmed Pacific White Shrimp from Ecuador, each four-ounce patty combines shrimp chunks with chopped bell peppers and Prime Shrimp’s Signature Cajun seasoning.

The shrimp burgers made a strong first impression during their direct-to-consumer debut on QVC in May, selling out in both their initial and follow-up broadcasts.

“Customers have been clamoring for truly gourmet shrimp burgers for years, and we’ve finally perfected the craft,” said Davis McCool, Business Development Supervisor at Prime Shrimp. “Certainly, there are alternate shrimp and seafood burgers on the market, but there is nothing quite like the Prime Shrimp burger, as our customers have validated. 80 percent shrimp with no fillers or additives goes a long way toward impressing even the finest gourmet chefs.”
