Porsteinn Beer Uses 10 Different Graphics for New Brand

Minimalistic designs are becoming the way of the future and the new company Porsteinn beer is using different designs for its bottles in the hopes to add some variety. The designs for the beer were made by Thorleifur Gunnar Gíslason, Geir Ólafsson and Hlynur Ingólfsson who studied at the Icelandic Academy of the Arts.

What was meant to be a concept design for a school project has grown into a very successful venture. The assignment was to come up with a brand for a micro-brewery and the name steams loosely from the Icelandic phrase “thirsty one.”

The main idea behind the concept is to have one beer that consists of ten separate clear bottle designs created by ten different designers. Each design would rotate annually.

I love the simplistic designs and how they took a fun approach to the brand.
