The Ford Special Service Plug-In Hybrid Sedan has been created as the latest vehicle from the car brand that looks to provide police services with a more efficient solution for getting around town. The vehicle is outfitted with a 7.6kWh lithium-ion battery that will provide up to 21 miles of range at a top speed of up to 85mph on battery power. The charging will take about 2.5 hours and is supported in contrast with a four-cylinder engine that make the range of the vehicle top out at 500 miles.
The Ford Special Service Plug-In Hybrid Sedan acknowledges the need for more efficient vehicles when it comes to cars required for policing purposes. The vehicle is set to be available for orders in December with deliveries expected to start taking place in mid-2018.
