Mumbai-based design studio 'The Act of Quad' decorated a multi-generational home with a spherical, rounded, and playful aesthetic.
The home is located in a Mumbai suburb called Ghatokpar and sits in a high-rise complex. Two flats were connected to make a spacious environment that could house three generations. The space is roughly 325 square meters and has four bedrooms.
What gives this space its charm is its unique curvilinear decor. The home is filled with wooden sculptures placed on the floor - which creates an interesting gallery-like feel. Even the furniture itself favors curved lines, which enforce the curvilinear aesthetic. The kitchen floor is completed with geometric tiles that contrast the rounded furniture and decoration. As a result, the home has a playful feel that consolidates the family's various tastes.
