In an ingeniously devious campaign to promote its English classes, the Britanico English Institute utilized the popularity of pirate TV shows and .srt files.
Many people prefer to download their shows onto their computers from various, not-so-legal online outlets, and those who need translations or subtitles will download .srt files in much the same way. Taking advantage of this behavior, the institute planted its own .srt subtitles for popular TV shows that were purposefully full of ridiculous errors. Right when the viewer catches on to the ruse, the message "don't depend on subtitles, switch to Britanico" is displayed on the screen.
The Britanico English Institute has managed to pirate the pirates by hacking pirate TV shows.
