The Pig project may look like a cute art installation, but it actually carries quite a sad yet important message. It shows how pigs are born into this world only to be eaten, from head to toe. A serious illustration, the Pig project centers around an adorable piglet sculpture made entirely from sausages and bacon strips.
Created by London-based freelance animator and illustrator Sophie H. Powell in collaboration with Bonnie Moriarty, the Pig project is pretty clever, even if it is a rather simple display of animal rights. Powell and Moriarty created a piglet so as to pluck our heartstrings. Although many of us are disgusted at animal cruelty, the image of baby animals strikes the heart of the matter even more.
