The availability of physical distancing designs and infrastructure is one of the main concerns for the Commune di Milano who is working on its plans for reopening commercial and public spaces after the height of the COVID-19 outbreak. With safety as a top priority, the city is emphasizing creative solutions and asking for assistance from designers and architects. Concepts here include "spacers to keep people apart, signs to remind people to distance, and layouts for indoor and outdoor spaces," among other things.
The physical distancing designs that are submitted will be gathered for consideration by Milanese traders and will be applied on a per situation basis. In addition, YesMilano—the city's promotion agency—has created a marketing video that will help residents "embrace the gradual end of lockdown."
