Peter Hamilton is a creative Brooklyn-based artist who creates paintings of iconic images using dictionary pages in place of a proper canvas. These fantastic literary paintings depict famous sci-fi and video game characters, among other things.

Many of Hamilton's incredible iconic paintings depict Star Wars characters, from Darth Vader to R2D2. Some of the vibrantly colored video game characters included in this series are Pikachu, 8-bit Mario and 8-bit Iron Man. However, Peter Hamilton also paints other iconic images, such as the Campbell's soup can, which was made famous by artist Andy Warhol.

These wonderful dictionary paintings can be found on Etsy. Peter Hamilton's approach to painting iconic images is extremely intriguing. The way he uses dictionary pages in place of a canvas adds a lot of extra interest to these brilliant paintings.
