Nestle UK released a contest that allowed fans the chance to win a personalized KitKat with their picture on it.
This in-store marketing campaign invited fans to purchase a promotional KitKat bar and use a 12-digit promotional code inside the package to enter for a chance to win a personalized KitKat bar. Each day, KitKat would select 1,000 winners and mail them a candy bar with their picture on it. Each winning bar would come inside a customized box that could be framed.
Ultimate Digital -- the firm in charge of this promotion -- printed around 8,000 personalized bars a week while the promotion was running. To do this, it used and "in-house Smartflow digital workflow system connected to their HP Indigo digital presses." By the end of the promotion, Ultimate Digital produced over 56,000 personalized KitKat bars.
