Popular at-home fitness brand Peloton has launched the Peloton Heart Rate Band, an innovative heart-rate sensor that can be strapped to a users' arm during their workouts. In addition, the device comes equipped with five LED lights that are used to inform users of their current heart-rate zone.
According to the company, the new device will replace the Peloton Heart Rate Band -- a high-quality heart-rate sensor that, unfortunately, many users complain is uncomfortable during workouts. As a result, the new band devices are much mess obtrusive. However, it does lack the ANT+ technology of the Peloton Heart Rate Band, relying solely on optical sensors. Overall, the launch of the new device appears geared towards promoting the brand's new Strength platform.
