The Safe + Fair Food Company is continuing to add to its line of allergy-friendly food products, this time with a trio of Pea Protein Chips. These gluten-free, plant-based chips are made without the eight top allergens and boast a base of pea protein and lentil flour.
The Hickory BBQ, Sea Salt and Sweet Jalapeño Pea Protein Chips are paced with nine to 10 grams of protein per serving and will also appeal to those who are searching for cholesterol-free snacks that exclude artificial ingredients, preservatives, high fructose corn syrup, MSG and trans fat. According to The Safe + Fair Food Company CEO Will Holsworth, "consumers are showing greater interest in plant-based food and are actively seeking protein-rich snack options in this category."
As part of its commitment to serving those with food allergies, the brand donates 3% of proceeds to the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research at Stanford University.
