Zesty Paws, a provider of pet health supplements and grooming supplies, is joining a growing number of companies that are now offering "Paw-ternity" leave to support people, pets and a well-balanced workplace.
The new Paw-ternity time off policy from Zesty Paws gives "all eligible employees to take an extra day of paid time off each year to spend with their pets." Those who make the most of this policy are asked to take a picture of their pet and detail how their day was spent together, which will be shared with other employees.
Zesty Paws' commitment to improving the lives of pets and the people who care for them also includes a new pet adoption policy in which it offers an additional paid day off and payment to support 50% of new pet adoption and rescue fees.
