Flowering Featherlight Vases

'PaperWhite' by Bradley L. Bowers Explores Life and Death

Created with a delicate material, PaperWhite by Bradler L. Bowers is an explorative series of vases. Using cotton rag paper for the construction, the vases -- unlike typical glass-made ones -- will crumble when filled with water.

Inspired by the natural confrontation of life's questions, the artist created the pieces to make people more aware of the man-made and god-made. He explains that he urges "people to be more conscious of the life of things." With the paper construction, the PaperWhite by Bradley L. Bowers series of vases obviously can't be used to keep flowers alive.

Having no set design in place before construction, PaperWhite by Bradley L. Bowers takes on abstract shapes and forms -- just like the idea behind it.
