Sculpted Pattern Tiles

Osso & Bottone Tiles Reshape Standard Tile Grids with Carved Geometry

The Osso & Bottone collection by Mutina and designer Ronan Bouroullec offers rectangular porcelain modules sculpted with precise edge cuts to transform conventional pouring-tile grids. The Osso tile features a narrowed “bone-like” profile that tapers at the centre, producing slender voids when installed with grout spacing. The Bottone tile uses circular perimeter cuts that, paired with a 4 mm joint between tiles, form button-like voids across the surface.

Both tile types are made from unglazed full-body porcelain stoneware and are available in several muted colours that come from mixed-clay bodies rather than surface glaze. The shaped voids create a subtle play of light, shadow and pattern across floors or walls. The tiles work outdoors and indoors, offering consistent technical durability thanks to homogeneous material composition and a 10 mm thickness.
