The practice is really an amalgam of art and gardening. Tree shaping is, according to Wikipedia, "a art and technique of growing and shaping trunks, branches and roots of trees and other woody plants."
Among the different basic shaped trees, we can see plenty of pretzels, living furniture, and a number of nondescript but very artistic designs.
My favorite among these amazing trees, is the group of trees with the green top which are fashioned in the form of a group of houses.
