Who knew this was possible? Gills Onions, a processor of fresh onions, has created a Anaerobic Digester that will use onion waste to create energy.

The Anaerobic Digester will be used at their Oxnard, California location, and will transform onion juice into electricity and heat. What a great idea! Take a look at a few images of the plant above.

Implications - Though there have been mass developments in solar, wind and kinetic energy, scientists still seek alternative methods of energy that allow consumers to take advantage of everyday products such as foodstuffs. This is a precautionary effort, as the recent state of national culture dictates that one can never be sure when resources will run out.
