On The Way Festival Toronto, created by the teams behind Community Wines and Standard Time, brought together electronic music, local food and culture at The Bentway on August 15. The lineup spanned THE DARE's sweat-soaked NYC dance-floor energy, Ross From Friends' lo-fi house warmth and a rare one-off DJ set from BADBADNOTGOOD's Al and Chester, alongside Doss, Patrick Holland, Young Teesh and Rabzi.
Beyond the music, festivalgoers explored some of Toronto's most beloved food and drink vendors, including Matty's Patties, Rizzo's, Ruru Baked, Rooms Coffee, Community Wines and Barbet, positioning the festival as much a culinary showcase as a music event.
On The Way shows how pairing a genre-spanning DJ lineup with hyperlocal food partnerships can create a distinctly Toronto experience that feels rooted in place rather than like a generic touring festival stop.
