Three designers created an Olympic Logo animation by transforming the logo into animated athletes.
Each ring is turned into an Olympian competing in one of the ancient Olympic sports. The black ring competes in long jump, the blue in high jump, the yellow in javelin, the green in discus and the red in hurdles. The athletes use the rings that they were created from, such as leaping through them, throwing them and vaulting over them. All of the images were hand-drawn and then turned into a sequence of animated GIFs. The designers, Henrique Barone, Rafael Mayani and Conor Whelan, included the process GIFs to show viewers how the images started out as just sketches and were turned into the completed animation.
