Oh The Humanity! by Frank Plant Depicts Redheads at the Beach

The perfect piece of art for the summer season, Oh The Humanity! may look like a painting, but it is actually made out of steel. Popping out from the wall like a laser-cut model, the sculpture depicts a bunch of redheads enjoying a crowded day at the beach. Although the title appears forlorn, Oh The Humanity! provides a refreshing image many will appreciate.

Created by Frank Plant, an American artist based in Barcelona, Spain, the Oh The Humanity! artwork is slightly ironic. Although redheads can enjoy the beach as much as anyone else, it is more common for their fair skin to burn. So enjoying summer activities like many others do can be quite taxing for them. The artist reveals, "My work is about physical and social observations." Thus its particularly arresting.
