Custom SLR's Odd Christmas Tree Was Constructed from Tripods

For Christmas this year, Custom SLR decided to build a odd Christmas tree totally made out of tripods, although it is quit fitting since it sells a range of photography products.

The festive Christmas tree was made up of over 40 stacked tripods, which took over 14 hours to assemble and decorate with 300 ornaments and 486' of garland. When it was finished, the tripod Christmas tree stood a massive 17.4' above the ground.

As well as being a totally festive stunt, after the tree was dismantled, all of the decorations on the tree were donated to the Salvation Army, the tripods went to afterschool and nonprofit photography programs. In total, Custom SLR's dontions amounted to about $10,000, which is definitely in the spirit of giving.
