The OBEX is a conceptual wearable designed to shield the face from facial recognition systems through a visor-inspired form. Drawing from medieval armor, the design combines a lightweight titanium frame with a sliding micro-perforated optical visor that appears opaque from the outside while remaining transparent for the wearer. The visor conceals facial features while maintaining visibility, translating the protective function of a knight's helmet into a contemporary wearable. Precision-engineered weight distribution supports extended use, while the micro-textured titanium surface adds durability and grip.

The temple module integrates PPG sensors for biometric monitoring, dual directional speakers, and a bitmap display that indicates system status and shield modes. Ornamental detailing references the craftsmanship of medieval armor, giving the hardware a refined, sculptural appearance. The visor's optical film, titanium construction, integrated electronics, and historical references define the concept, presenting a wearable that explores physical privacy through industrial design rather than software.
