Polo Ralph Lauren’s Oak Bluffs collection celebrates the rich history of a Black vacation town on Martha’s Vineyard while weaving collegiate coastal aesthetics into its design. Created in partnership with Morehouse and Spelman alumni, the capsule features emblematic pieces like embroidered twill jackets adorned with island motifs, varsity satin jackets celebrating HBCU mascots, sun-faded sweaters, maritime caps, and knitwear that nods to yacht and beach culture.
Launching globally on July 24, the collection blends refined tailoring, relaxed leisurewear, and community storytelling, all with design intent and cultural integrity at its core. Beyond apparel, the launch is accompanied by a campaign including Nadine Ijewere’s photography, a Cole Brown–directed documentary, and partnerships with The Cottagers Inc., Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival, and United Negro College Fund.
Each garment tells a layered story: island heritage, generational Black summer gatherings, and collegiate pride. Oak Bluffs isn’t just the setting—it’s woven into fabric and form, honoring legacy while looking forward. With this collection, Polo Ralph Lauren affirms that clothing can carry memory, identity, and joy across time and tides.
