Chris Eayres is one ingenious artist showing love for NYC art and its liveliness. New York is filled with lights, people and distractions and it is so easy to get lost in the midst of things.
Eayres’s ‘BY-PASS_NY’ is a collection of ten photographs depicting the heartbeat of New York. The effervescent neon lights act similar to the lines and waves on a heart monitor bringing the photos to life. Earyes uses different apertures to make the backgrounds and noise of the city seem less apparent and unified.
In an attempt to show the thumping world around him, Earyes demonstrates how connected everything is and the visual magnificence of everything colliding together. The colors transition from one to the next and the lines begin to multiply and differentiate between what is and isn’t there.
Earyes’s interpretation of the heartbeat of NYC captivates attention and rouses the idea that everything is alive.
