French furniture design company Nova Objecta recently unveiled its latest project entitled the PARA(D) chair. The PARA(D) chair is designed to be comfortable and relaxing, serving this purpose through its slingback, hammock-like design. The bright colors and unique silhouette are meant to recall the memories of summer by the pool, whilst also tapping into "the universe of Tom Wesselmann," an American pop art artist.
The unique foundation of the sculptural PARA(D) chair resembles the shape imitating the pool ladder curvatures. The bars on the chair are crafted out of "lacquered tubular steel," and the seat is made from washable fabric. Nova Objecta tested the chairs by the sea to prove that the materials used are adaptable to both indoor and outdoor environments.
