Nike's 'Nothing Beats a Londoner' is a Quirky, Viral Sensation
Laura McQuarrie — February 14, 2018 — Pop Culture
To celebrate London's diverse sports culture, Nike launched 'Nothing Beats a Londoner,' which quickly went viral.
The three-minute video features stars like Michael Dapaah, Dina Asher-Smith and Mo Farah and has people describe some of the hurdles they face to engage in the activities they are most passionate about. The high-energy ad champions youth culture and features offbeat imagery, including entire sports teams stacked atop the shoulders of one another high into the sky, as well as tears shooting out of a man's face in the style of an anime character.
To bring its love of London to the city and inspire people everywhere, Nike will have 75 of its sponsored athletes visit 250 venues across local communities.
