Neue Design Studio Focuses on the Art of the Frame

As most competitive educational institutions, the Norwegian Film School desires to set itself apart in the eyes of its future students. To ensure its design stays up to date and is able to capture the attention of those who are thinking of attending, the institution employs Oslo-based Neue Design Studio.

The creative firm focused on embracing the art of the film medium, more precisely the intricacies of the frame. Through the implementation of topography-inspired graphics, Neue Design Studio is able to focus on “what happens within a given frame.” That is, the visual symbology elegantly pushes on the notion of action. That is, the visual symbology elegantly and subtly instills the notion of action, without falling victim to being too obvious.

In terms of the design brief, the Norwegian Film School wanted to “express emotions and reflect the strengths of [the] school and [the] dedicated students.”
