Architect Matt Thitchener created the North Avoca Studio as a mind-bending home that sits cantilevered on the side of a hill -- seeming to float above the surrounding greenery while looking out at the ocean.
Located in Sydney, Australia, the unique home is a multi-purpose space that allows owners to comfortably relax, meditate, work or entertain. The 650-square-foot cubed house was built sustainably and affixed to the side of a hill that looks down on to the Pacific Ocean. The entire roof is covered in solar panels to provide the home with eco-friendly energy, as well as a rain-harvesting system that was added to irrigate the garden.
The North Avoca Studio is a unique modern structure that mixes luxurious design with eco-friendly features.
