Dry January is a month when many adults are reexamining their relationship with alcohol and discovering inventive non-alcoholic alternatives, and Toronto’s NO-LO Beerfest is a first-of-its-kind event that spotlights non-alcoholic brews—and low-alcohol options for drinkers.
This event presented by Only Café features 15 brewers that make craft beer ranging from 0.5% to 3% alcohol in a range of styles. Although none of the participating brewers will be offering 0.0% beer, NO-LO Beerfest notes that "federal and provincial regulators deem 0.5% alc/vol to be the designated limit for determining "non-alcoholic" beverages (versus "alcohol-free.") At the event, attendees will get to enjoy brews created by Bellwoods Brewery, Collective Arts and more.
All proceeds from the upcoming festival in January will be donated to a local food bank.
