Sleep Data-Enhanced Drug Trails

Beacon Biosignals & Skye Bioscience Continue Trial of Nimacimab

Beacon Biosignals and Skye Bioscience have announced a partnership to enhance the CBEYOND™ Phase 2 trial of Nimacimab, a drug targeting obesity and related metabolic disorders. The collaboration will integrate sleep quality and sleep apnea metrics through Beacon’s advanced sleep monitoring technology and the Dreem 3S EEG device.

Nimacimab, which modulates the CB1 receptor, is under investigation for its impact on obesity and related conditions like obstructive sleep apnea. By incorporating detailed sleep assessments into the trial, the partnership aims to provide a more holistic evaluation of Nimacimab’s effects, particularly on sleep disturbances often associated with obesity.

The integration of Beacon's sleep monitoring capabilities will allow for precise measurement of sleep patterns and apnea events, contributing valuable data to the trial. This approach aims to better understand the therapeutic potential of Nimacimab by addressing both metabolic and sleep-related aspects of patient health.
