The 'New Mac Candle' Smells Like a Freshly Unboxed Mac Laptop

For today's generation of young adults, a new computer is almost equivalent to older generations' new cars, and the New Mac Candle is taking advantage of that in a similar way. Just as the "new car smell" intoxicated those who got a brand new ride, today's young people are enchanted by the new Mac smell.

Though the origin of the new Mac smell remains mysterious, TwelveSouth, an Apple accessory company, has managed to replicate it with their New Mac Candle. According to TwelveSouth's website, the candle's scent notes include mint, peach, basil, lavender, mandarin, and sage. However the process, that bouquet combines to generate the scent of aluminum and packaged air.

The New Mac Candle is made from 100 percent soy wax, and it has a burning time of 45 to 55 hours.
