The approach that Kathrine Barbro Bendixen undertakes for the natural lights is motivated through heavy experimentation of the material as the Copenhagen-based designer has been fascinated with the functional properties of cow intestines since her years as a student. Her creations skillfully bring out the value in the unexpected materials and the illuminating properties of the LED call attention to the unique textures of the intestines, making for a completely unique composition and "unusual light effects."
