The MyFamilyBuilders toys provides an alternative, inclusive way for children to learn about diverse types of families. Designer Ez Karpf and his wife developed the educational tools after noticing a general lack of inclusive toy concepts.

Standing behind the MyFamilyBuilders project are psychologists, illustrators and educators who together seek to foster tolerance through play. The building blocks are interchangeable, allowing kids to craft families with various racial backgrounds and sexual orientations.

By introducing an awareness of different relationships at a young age, these figurines will hopefully spark acceptance among future generations. This comes in at an essential time as interracial marriage rates continue to rise, and as social justice causes continue to make headway throughout the world.
