At the Winter Fancy Food Show, Yuguo Farms introduced the world to its unique range of mushroom chips, which are made with 100% natural, whole shiitake mushrooms. The unconventional chips are offered in a trio of flavors: Original, Spicy and Wasabi.
As unexciting as mushrooms may have seemed to consumers in previous years, the rise of adaptogens has inspired consumers to see medicinal mushrooms like cordyceps, reishi and shiitake as more than just fungi. Mushrooms can now be found in a range of bottled beverages, plant-based jerky, superfood powders and even granola snack bars.
In their search for better-for-you snack foods, many consumers are turning to alternative vegetable chips that offer the same satisfying crunch as a potato chip, but with more health benefits.
