Snøhetta Designs the Museum of Sex, Featuring Galleries, a Bar, & More

The design for the Miami outpost of New York City's Museum of Sex has been unveiled and the architecture firm which has taken a stab at the aesthetic is no other than Snøhetta. The Museum of Sex in Miami will be located in the Allapattah neighborhood and the studio has been tasked with converting a 32,000-square-foot warehouse space into a cultural mecca for the "cultural significance of human sexuality."

The Museum of Sex in Miami will feature a total of three sizable gallery spaces, a retail wing, and a bar. The design has been rooted in "positivity and joy," as Snøhetta states, and the establishment is expected to open its doors to the public later in 2023 with both permanent and temporary exhibitions.
