Ai Image Generators

The Muse Image is an AI Image-Generation Feature for Meta Platforms

The Muse Image was introduced by Meta as an AI image-generation feature integrated into the Meta AI chatbot, Instagram Stories, and WhatsApp in selected markets. The tool allowed users to create AI-generated images by mentioning a public Instagram account, drawing from profile photos, posts, Reels, and other public content. Public adult accounts were included by default, while private accounts and users under 18 were excluded. The rollout drew criticism because the feature relied on an opt-out system rather than requesting permission before making public profiles available for image generation.

Privacy advocates, creators, and entertainment organizations raised concerns that the feature could enable impersonation, harassment, and unauthorized digital replicas. The Screen Actors Guild–American Federation of Television and Radio Artists and talent agency CAA criticized the rollout, while actor Hannah Einbinder encouraged users to disable the feature.
