In order to generate buzz around the show's upcoming second season, the Mr Robot SXSW activation takes things to the next level with a larger than life Coney Island replica that fully immerses festival attendees in the world of the story. Featuring a 100-foot tall ferris wheel inspired by Coney Island's infamous Wonder Wheel, the experience boasted several reproductions of key sets from the show including the F Society hacker den.
Notably, Mr Robot's first season debuted at South by Southwest 2015, where it took home the festival's coveted audience award. Open for four days during this year's festival, the Mr Robot SXSW experience proves that consumers are thrilled to interact with their favorite shows and movies in immersive pop-ups.
