Mushroom-Infused Alcoholic Spirit Expressions

Breckenridge Distillery Debuts Mountain Shot

Breckenridge Distillery, a Colorado-based producer of spirits owned by Tilray Brands, has announced the release of a new product called Mountain Shot. This offering integrates maitake mushrooms into a beverage available in both whiskey-based and malt-based formulations.

The whiskey version of Mountain Shot is bottled at 69 proof, while the malt alternative is produced at 30 proof. The expressions are characterized by a flavor profile combining chocolate and mint, with the mushroom component intended to contribute a unique textural element to the experience.

Breckenridge Distillery markets its Mountain Shot as a shot-style drink and offers it in several container sizes, including a portable, resealable pouch designed for outdoor activities. The branding and promotional messaging heavily emphasize an association with mountain culture, adventure, and social leisure activities like après-ski.
