The fragrances were crafted exclusively for Monocle by Antoine Maisondieu, perfumer at Comme des Garçons, who created three in total that are all inspired by memories from the publication's content. This includes a chilly morning in Kyoto, Japan, smells of Batroun, Lebanon and Japanese cedar.

Each of the Comme des Garçons x Monocle Colognes are crafted in France and identify the publication's shift into the lifestyle product market as consumers seek out ways to incorporate their favorite brands into their daily routine.
