Argentine designers Natan Burta and Alejandro Sanguinetti, from Monochrome Recycled Bikes, are giving fresh identities to old, high quality bikes. The duo upcycles old bikes by painting them with water-based inks and adding new features like stainless steel handles and hand-sewn leather seats.
According to the designers, the whole process of upcycling an old bike requires only 20% of the energy it would take to produce a new bike. Monochrome hopes to have its eco-friendly bikes produced this year.
