MoleSense's Molecular Wearables Redefine Maternity Care

— November 27, 2025 — Tech
Targeting eight million high-risk pregnancies annually across Switzerland, Europe, and the United States, MoleSense makes wearables that monitor inflammatory proteins and steroid hormones through sweat. The wearables provide a comfortable, convenient and non-invasive alternative to repeated testing, and combine molecular data collection with machine learning algorithms to deliver real-time insights for early diagnosis and intervention.

The Swiss medtech startup received €156,000 from Venture Kick to develop its wearables, and funding will support validation studies and regulatory pathway development for early market entry. Initial deployment is set to focus on high-risk pregnancy centers, beginning with CHUV in Switzerland.

Ultimately, by continuously monitoring key maternity biomarkers, MoleSense aims to enhance clinical diagnosis, improve fetal survival rates, reduce maternal complications, reduce the economic burden on healthcare providers, and give patients more peace of mind.
