Mountain lodges typically conjure up images of decades-old cabins, but the Revier Mountain Lodge is determined to throw that impression out of the window by taking advantage of some of the most fashionable and effective modern construction techniques, namely prefabricated construction and modular design.

Crafted together by noted architecture firm Carlos Martinez Architekten, the Revier Mountain Lodge is a four-floor building that was fabricated off-site before being situated in its final location in the resort of Lenzerheide in Switzerland. The structure also features a number of modules that aim to offer a vacation experience that's reminiscent of staying in a camper vehicle, albeit with more luxuries.

Available for bookings at prices starting at $187, this prefabricated resort dwelling is leading the evolution of mountain lodges by retaining their original charm while adding inexpensive and flexible building techniques into the architectural mix.
