Yicong Lu is the designer behind the appliance-inspired 'Bread Lamp' that replicates the look of a loaf of bread inside a toaster with slabs of modular LED lights. The lamp's base is shaped like the appliance, while the lights act as the pieces of bread that sit angled at different heights as if they just popped out of the toaster.
While the lamp has an interesting aesthetic, its contemporary design can lead the lamp's toaster inspiration to be unrecognizable. The base features a large dark blue rectangular shape complete with various slender slots on top. The slots are filled with thin LED lights that stick out upwards, as if pieces of freshly cooked bread. The lights vary in size and can be pulled out and arranged according to the user's tastes.
