Location-Clashing Artwork

Mo/co Turns the Streets of Brazil into a Canvas

Mo/co is an artistic group that's been turning the streets of Brazil into a canvas with the project titled 'Hibridizacao.'

The team turns areas into living rooms, museums and even beach spots. What's impressive about their approach, however, is the unexpected locations that are transformed. A cobblestone street is all of a sudden turned into a prime dining location, or the edge of a bridge situated with beach chairs and an umbrella. The work makes one think about how many individuals are so accustomed to seeing things in a certain way, that it jostles the senses when this is challenged. Mo/co's work pushes people to think differently, and not simply accept circumstances for the way they are initially presented to the public at first glance.
