Boat-Accessible Minimal Beach Houses

CmDesign Atelier Builds a Stunning House near Lagos, Nigeria

CmDesign Atelier has embarked on a luxe project to create a relaxing escape and this has resulted in the Coral Pavilion—a minimal beach house that is accessible only by boat.

The silhouette of the building is largely minimalist, rectangular, and elongated. The ground floor of the Coral Pavilion includes living and dining rooms, as well as a bar area. Complete with a swimming pool and an expansive rooftop terrace that would be perfect for sunbathing, the minimal beach house offers a reprieve to the client and their friends.

For this project, CmDesign Atelier—which was founded by celebrated Nigerian architect Tosin Oshinowo—prioritized a warm color palette and strategically chose materials to fit in with the carefree mood of summer.
