San Francisco-based artist Ben Venom is currently showcasing his impressive textile artwork for Black Sabbath taking place at the Midlands Arts Centre. Venom returns with a series of original works as well as prints that were made in collaboration with 1xRUN, an editions seller.
The joint effort also features a framed patch with a embroidered fence-patterned skull, a framed embroidery work, and two handmade quilts. The fabric-made goods are decorated with bold lettering details that take themes from punk culture, tribal aesthetics, and traditional folk art. The eclectic influence translate across the artist's work and the series is rounded out with muted background hues and 'atomospheric backdrops.' The work is displayed and can be purchased on 1xRUN now.
