The Messe Basel New Hall is visually stunning. A key development for the convention center's exhibition halls, it is an awesome sight that will draw tourists and locals alike, thus adding another beautiful landmark to the city of Basel in Switzerland.
Designed by Herzog & De Meuron Architects, the shining feature of the Messe Basel New Hall is its covered public space dubbed the City Lounge. Like a massive vortex reaching up to the heavens, the circular opening illuminating the space is very futuristic. The City Lounge defines the south end of the Messeplatz.
Overall, the Messe Basel New Hall is made up of three levels. The ground floor is seamlessly connects to existing halls, event spaces as well as shops, bars and restaurants. The two upper levels are strictly for exhibitions.
