Live Celebrity Mean Tweets

Celebrities Read Criticisms from Twitter Live on Air in This Clip

Jimmy Kimmel's hilarious segment 'Mean Tweets' is back, but this time features the celebrities reading the social media criticisms live on air.

The video featured is a compilation of various mean tweets recited by celebrities on what Kimmel dubbed, 'Mean Tweets Week.' The entire week of shows featured surprise celebrity appearances from movie stars Halle Berry, George Clooney and The Rock among many others. The self-deprecating, and hilarious segment is not new to the talk show, but this marks the first time that they are read out loud in front of the studio audience and viewers from home.

The Mean Tweets segment both celebrates and condemns Twitter as a way of connecting to celebrities. Although through the social media platform, they are now more accessible, it has also opened up the possibility for increased negativity, criticism and awfully mean, albeit humorous remarks.
