Chris Rock will be taking the stage as the artist to launch Netflix's inaugural live global streaming comedy special that is taking place early 2023. The standup comedy special will be the comedian's second time working with the streaming company and it is based on what the brand calls the “legacy of leadership in live comedy."
The live stream will be a new venture for the company as it aims to keep up with other services by Apple, Amazon, and more. Speaking about this, Netflix Vice-President of Stand Up and Comedy formats, Robbie Praw states, “We’re thrilled the entire world will be able to experience a live Chris Rock comedy event and be a part of Netflix history. This will be an unforgettable moment and we’re so honored that Chris is carrying this torch.”
